It depends on what state you live in. There is a thing in Illinois that is called equal housing authority. What you pay for rent is based on your income. You could also check with your local public aid office they could tell you for sure.

You need to contact the dept. of Health and Welfare and find out what state funded programs you qualify for. Because of your age you are not married you qualify for food stamps and low income housing. Do you work or does your boyfriend work? Are you planning on keeping the baby? If you can't afford to take care of yourselves you may want to seriously consider you options because becoming a first time is hard enough and it is even harder at your age and to be broke on top if will cause so much stress you can't even imagine. I am not saying give up your baby I am just saying think long and hard about it.

GO to your local department of social service and they can help you get on public housing and they can even help you find the place. Besides that DSS can also help with your medical expenses, food, bills, and if you don't work they may even provide a certain amount of cash a month for gas and other necessities. You have to apply for all of it and at your bf and your age they should be able to get you something fast. Check them out tomorrow. They can and will help you. Good Luck and I hope everything turns out for the best. It will keep your head held high and stay strong because things could get rough but they will get better I promise.

well first off, do you have jobs?? if you have a job then you can afford to get a apartment. Sometimes if your in a sticky situation, you can stay at a friends house for a few months to get going. its time for you to grow up and face reality. You might have to stay in a shelter for a month or two while you work and yes you might have to dropout of school. But make sure that you don't blow your money, save every single cent you get because there will be hook up charges, possibly down payments because you are under the age, and you have to pay for first months rent and damage deposit, good luck. lifes hard eh?

I don't know about other states, but in Texas you must be 18 to be able to live in government housing of any kind. Have you two considered adoption? There are people who would have an open adoption where you would be able to have contact with your baby throughout his or her life.

u need to look into section 8 housing, however there are usualy waithing lists for that so you may want to get something lined up in the meen time. they may not do it for your boyfriend to since you are not married but you can alway call somewhere first and find out! best of luck to you.

you need to go to the public assistance building. dont wait, because if youre pregnant you need prenatal care (proper nutrition & wellness check-ups) and they can give you medical assistance, also. if you are still in school, ask your school counselor for help to find your resources. otherwise look on-line or in the government pages of the phone book. best of luck to you-
