I am trying to get my art out there, because I am aspiring to be an artist. i think my work isnt too shabby, either, not the best, but still good. I would post a link to my art page but i dont know if Yahoo will let me. But i have no idea how or where to start, any suggestions?

What better way to get your work to the public than to show it in a public art gallery !Usually the curators are very knowledgeable and can give you advice. It can take time to get a show, sometimes there are long waiting lists, but it is worth the wait .Recognition by one's peers will prove invaluable if you want a career as an artist. If your work is turned down try another.Work on your stuff some more and keep trying.

get together an online portfolio as well as a paper one. If you are confident enough host a exhibition of some of your work. Try to get into gallery parties and drop your name. Send copies of your work to magazines like the Newyorker or nylon or Teen vogue or seventeen. Join an online art community like artwire.com. good luck and i'd actually love the link i'm an artist myself.

Get in touch with someone that runs an art show. They usually will let you put your stuff up for free, and sometimes you even get bids.
