Yes. My definition of a good person is someone who is humble and modest, who seeks to do the extraordinary--like improving oneself and helping others, but does not report their good deeds to the world. A good person doesn't go around making other people feel back to satisfy their own egos. A good person tries their best to tell the truth, be a hard worker, loyal family member and a patient friend.

I think I have been a good person in the past, and I have been a bad person. In the scheme of things I am not as bad as others, and there are others who have a better grasp on goodness than I do. At a guess I would say more pople are worse than me than are better.
Seems to me like a relative thing rather than a magic threshold you cross between being a good person and being a bad person. I've known a guy who spent more time in prizon than out for homicide, I still liked him most ways and he was a loving father (if not a sparkling role model) He chose to live his life better than he started it.

I am a good person because I get along with almost anyone. I have a good personality and I am usually wearing a smile. the best thing I have done up to now is Helping an elderly couple jump start their car when they were hundreds of miles from their home.

Great question!! I'd say by the people who are in my life. If I were a bad person I don't think I'd have the pleasure of their company. I have always tried to do for others in one way or another, money, a helping hand, a job if I have an opening even if they only need it for a short time just so that they are on their feet again. When we were in the bail bonds business we took in some of our clients so they would have a place to stay while their family had to travel to get them. On our 3 annv. my husband and I took a bail bonds client to rehab and stood by him through the treatment. He was arrested for drunk driving and he has been sober since then and we still hear from his family on everyone of his annv. just to say thanks. I feel it's what you do for others, that really makes you a better person not only do you feel good but you have helped another person feel good about themselves. Happy Holidays and God Bless.

Here's the thing: I believe I am a good person and I think society would largely agree with that if Iwere to be judged in such a manner - but I only believe this and society would only think this because I happen to share and exude the very same values that society does. So people can only ever be deemed "bad" because they do not uphold and celebrate and abide by the values we (society) tried to instil in them. Which then asks the question - are there bad people or simply bad deeds?

I do what I can. I have stopped on the side of the road and administered first aid to a complete stranger that was in a horrible accident, I have been the best man at a wedding I did not approve of, and smiled throughout, and I generally try to defuse arguments rather than incite them. Beyond that, I don't try to tell other people how to live their lives.
I figure that is a pretty good start.

I don't really think that any of us can decide or judge as to whether we are good or bad. Its the others that judge. However, in today's busy world doing good can be difficult. Living costs are high and we have to work hard just to get by. Sometimes, not doing bad is a good place to start - where your actions don't cause other harm or discomfort.

good and bad is just on a very very thin line.
instead of saying who is a good person, why not look at his good merits he had or have done?
but life is complicated.
i learn through the process of life.

I dont understand why you would ask a question such as that. I feel that in many people's eyes, I'm sinner. But in other people's eyes, I'm a blessing to the Earth! I feel that it really all depends.
