Honestly, I never noticed when I lost my mucus plug. But when I asked my doctor about it, he told me that you can lose it anytime after 30 weeks...that your body goes through steps to prepare itself for labor, and sometimes, it just starts a little early. Nothing to worry about. Good luck and congratulations!

check out to not get too scared... to be sincere... with morning ailment I generally tend to unfastened among 10 and 20 lbs... then by the point I supply I have received 30lbs. :) I placed on ALL my weight on the finish and I chalk that as much as only a developing child. The foremost hindrance with gaining an excessive amount of weight together with your child is GESTATIONAL DIABETES. But you've gotten both already been proven for that or shall be very quickly. Some females obtain greater than others... it is average. Just allow the Doc recognise your issues and DON'T attempt to reduce energy or something, simply allow the child pass, and benefit from the final few weeks of consuming some thing ya desire. You can consistently eater extra healthful meals if it'll make you suppose greater, however 30-forty lbs remains to be inside the variety of OKAY. Good Luck you are close to there.

I lost mine about a month before I had my son last time. But really losing the mucus plus isn't a definite sign labor is about to begin. But since you're only 30 weeks you need to let your Doctor know and they make want to do a vaginal exam and make sure you're not dilated. The Doctor may tell you to take it easy and try to spend as much time off your feet as you can. But as long as your're not contracting or dialted you'll be fine. He may tell you to abstain from sex, due to the increase in the possibllity for infection as well.

I am currently 38 weeks pregnant and have still not lost my plug.
This is also my first pregnancy, so I haven't been through the labour bit yet! (though I am waiting for it!)
I have heard however that losing your plug is not the best gauge for when labour is going to begin, as it can happen weeks before the actual event. (Obviously you have already experienced this)
I would say if it is concerning you then to let your doctor know right away, this way they can run some checks and put you at ease.

I lost parts of it 1 week before... then it came out the day of my labor. 30 weeks does sound early... if you notice your water breaking, or anything out of the ordinary- signs of labor starting right away, call the doctor or go to the hospital! Not sure when your next appt. is, but make sure you tell them.

Doctors ideal pregnancy is 39 weeks. Babies are born premature all the time so if you are concerned then you need to see your doctor or at least call for a phone conference.
