One of my favorite subjects about Shakespeare is how his writings influanced modern pop-culture. Or if you want to get really daring you can talk about Shakespeare's influance of modern Japanese drama.

For an overall Shakespeare topic, I've been wanting to do "how shakespeare improved on his sources" as a topic for a while now. There's certainly a lot of info on his sources and what he added... I think the interesting part would be in deducing WHY he made the changes he did, how they affected the storytelling, what particular points he had in changing them... that sort of thing.

You can find info on Shakespeare's sources with about any edition of his plays.

Here are three subjects and I think the documentation shouldn't be that hard to come across:

-The Jester,
-The Forest,
-The Theatre Inside The Theatre.

I don't know how different and original these three topics are, but I think what should be really different and original is your opinion on them. Further more, I wish you the best and hope that I've been of some help... even if it ment just helping you rule out the topics that I mentioned. :)

Best regards!

If you want a website, I suggest, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shakesphere. There you can find links to different plays.
