When you give 100% to someone you only get 50% back from them. If you have, why is it we continue to still give that person 100%? I think that it is because we have hope in our hearts that one day they will give us 100% or even 80% back one day.

maybe you are right....well in some cases you are right, but in those cases we may be disappointed.

the thing comes down to the power of giving. if you are a person who gives 100% then dont stop, because that is the beauty of who you are, so i would say never listen to anyone who suggests that you give less than 100%

if you are constantly giving 100% to someone who doesnt respond, perhaps it is time to give your 100% to someone else, or maybe not a person but a cause, a charity, etc

spiritual principles say that when you give 100%, you will get it back, only maybe not where you expect it from. To give less than 100% when it is in your heart to give it is against YOU. it hurts you to give less. so give and be open to where that love comes from.

and if you become sure that you are wasting your 100% on your partner, lose that person, not your personality, please

As long as we have something to give, why not be happy with that? Some persons have nothing to give at all. It would be nice to get back 100% even 80%, but maybe they can only afford 50%. Hope that some day that they will be able to give to some one else also. It is we who have to set the good example for them in our deeds.

i agree with you i have given myself 100% to only get in return maybe not even half. i keep giving all of myself because i think that they will consider what i do for them, and maybe i'll get back what i have given.

I think it's because some people lack self esteem and are co-dependent; if someones not giving back, why bother? Certain individuals can't "live" without companionship; there's a difference between being alone and being lonely....
