Absolutely not! Rest is good for you. Your body is doing much more work now that it was, say, 40 weeks ago. Even if you're sitting in a chair, your body is still working to care for that special life inside of you.
My wife is a teacher and we have a son. When she was pregnant, she was exhausted when she came home. [Something about not letting teachers sleep during class! ;) ] She would usually fall asleep within an hour or two of coming home and sleep all night long (with exceptions for using the bathroom). Our son was born healthy.
Enjoy the rest now while you can! And for future reference, when your child is born, sleep when he or she does. (Even though on maternity leave, my wife made the mistake early on of trying to keep to her regular schedule. That didn't last even a week.) When the baby sleeps, the mom needs to get some sleep as well, even if it's just an hour's worth.
Take care and enjoy!

Oh my goodness, I don't think sleeping a lot will affect your baby in a bad way, but in a good way! You are very pregnant and very tired. I slept my last month of pregnancy away! I couldn't get by without 12hours a night and my afternoon nap. I actually started my maternity leave three weeks early to rest up for the big day. So you just keep on resting. You are going to need it for the labor. You will even need it for after the baby is born because you most likely won't get to sleep much again for a long while after he/she is born. So enjoy it now.

NOOO way. Its actually good that your resting. Having a baby in general is a whole different work. The best thing you could do is just rest more often. Walking around and doing a lot of movement, although tiring, can induce labor. I guess if you want an early labor sleep less and walk more. Just don't put too mush stress on the baby

LOL!!! U'd better get as much sleep as you possibly can...while you can! I slept 18hrs. a day in my last trimester, and I had a healthy, happy, active baby! On the other hand, I have a friend who worked every day up until the day before she delivered...and she had a looooong labor and ended up having to have a c-section. I think that was because she refused to rest and by the time she was ready to deliver, she was already exhausted!
Rest up!!! You're gonna need it! Oh, and once the little one gets here...SLEEP WHEN THE BABY SLEEPS!!!!! Very valuable advice! If you're anything like me, you've heard this a million times before. It's sooooo true!

No the baby will not be effected. Pregnant women get tired very easily. Because of all the extra weight that you are not used to carrying around. It is nothing to worry about. As a matter of fact you better rest while you can.

i don't understand....i understand that my 11 week previous (who's popping 12 weeks on Thursday) sleeps lots. of course 3 months is a huge age distinction from 8 months, yet for me, that's prevalent. My daughter is going to sleep between 9 and 10 PM, on no account wakes up as quickly as for the duration of the night, and he or she wakes up between 7 and eight.......eats like 4 to 7 oz., is up for a on the same time as and then at around 9:30 AM she takes an hour nap......and then she wakes up and is up for like 2 or 3 hours and is going to sleep returned..

Absolutely not, your body is getting you ready for the labor and birthing process, so sleep on honey, you will not get much after the baby is born. Tip though, sleep when the baby sleeps

Doesn't hurt the baby a bit. If you need the rest go for it. Once the baby is born your resting days will be over! LOL Good luck!

no it's important to rest when you are tired esp if you are working all day you're goingto feel more tired. I get like 10 hours of sleep a night.
