girls, what do you do when u see a huge bug on the floor near you? and why do most girls scream?

What do I do? I roll my eyes at the other girls freaking out. Bugs don't bother me. I've done a lot of traveling, a lot of camping. Plus, I lived in Australia for a couple semesters. There were so many cockroaches and spiders there that when I came home, I told my mom how weird it was not to see cockroaches all over the house (this comment offended her for some reason...).

Of course I may jump if it catches me off guard, but I won't scream. It's the same way you jump if you almost bump into some you didn't notice, or if someone says something and you didn't know they were behind you. That's instinctive reflex. It's the old "flight or fight." I think a girl screaming is the same sort of thing. I've been known to do it, too (not really with bugs, though). Or I'll yell something like, "Holy crap!" I think yelling/screaming is part of the reflex, too. Maybe it's instinct to scare away the source of the fear? Or maybe it's to release the internal tension of the fear? Maybe it's the same mental thing as yelling when you're in pain, like it covers it up or is releasing somehow?

Yeah, I'm pulling a lot of this out of my butt. You can't believe everything you read on the internet. ;-)

Oh, and I don't usually bother killing the bug. I just watch it crawl back out of sight and go back to ignoring its existence. The only time I'll kill it is if it's a) poisonious, or b) an hysterical girl insists I do so or she won't be able to stop screaming and staring at it...

Well i am not scared of huge bugs, if i see one I'll pick it up and take it outside or I'll just squash it and throw it in the trash though I'd rather not kill the bug unless there is more than one.Most girls scream cause they think the bug is creepy and they don't want it to crawl on them, i am not sure if ev1 that's scared of bugs scream cause not ev1 is the same, again i never scream.

Cause. If they get too close to you they could fly up your pant leg or something and it's nasty, sticky, creepy crawly legs are gonna get all rubby on yours and if it gets stuck or if someone hits it, it could bite you or it could get squished on you and just the noise of the squish makes my skin crawl, it's scarry when stuff like that is all you can think about when a big one is near you. But, on the other hand, if it's small enough to squish and make no noise, it's fair game and I'd kill em all. Big ones though, if your all alone, I'll tell ya what to do (like a spider) big shoe, or - find an aresol shaving cream or gel, or some sort of foam spray.. or I suppose hairspray works too, and spray the **** out of it until someone can come flush it. I ******* HATE spiders they creep my ****!

When I see a big bug near me on the floor i smash it. Most girls shriek because they think they are gross and disgusting. Or they are just afraid of things with 6 legs.

A huge bug? I get out of the room immediately, shut the door, and stuff a towel under it, until someone brave enough comes to my rescue.
I had alot of bad bug incidences as a child.

Depends on what kind of bug it is. If it's a spider, you bet I scream because they terrify me and usually when I first see them, I'm startled by it. Any other bug doesn't bother me. I just pick it up in a paper towel and throw it outside. No biggie.

Depends on what kind of bug it is. If its a spider, or looks extremly creepy I'd tell my dad to get rid of it. He doesnt even always kill it. I'm not always afraid of bugs though, but they're creepy and mysterious to alot of girls. We just dont want them in our house.

It depends on the bug! :) --- I just get DISGUSTED!! Specially with roaches...they are just nasty! ( you start to think about the germs and bacteria...and the diseases!) Yikes! -- If people scream, they might have a phobia...who knows! But at least...I do it, because I'm grossed out! :-P

I live right next to the ocean, so i've got alot of weird bugs coming in my house. I'm used to them. I don't get scared easily, so I usually just get a tissue and BAM, it's gone.
