Babys get really calm while and right before you go into labor. If this pain is coming and going and you can feel the baby pushing down. I would advise you to at least call your doctor if not head over to the ER because you may be experiencing back labor. And yes this can happen at 37 weeks. Good luck with the baby I hope everything turns out well. And agian I would really really advise you to call your Doctor who will probably tell you to go get checked out. You can never be to carefull.

The doctors can give you medicine to help you dilate. And the baby pushing down means you dont have much more to go I am 38 weeks pregnant and mine aches all the time. And when I walk I can feel her pushing down. If the doctor was concerned about the baby not moving they would induce your labor or at least monitor the baby for awhile. Until then dont worry about it. It will all be over soon enough

75% effaced means the cervix is 75% thinned. The cervix needs to be 100% effaced and dilated (opening of the cervix enlarges) to 10 cm for pushing to commence. When your water breaks, go to the hospital. And/or when your contractions become regular like 15 minutes apart. You can go into labour at any time. Congratulations.

The baby is getting in position, but if you have any abnormal pains and pressure, go directly to hospital. You can be dilated2-3 centimeters and still not go into labor. I was at 8 centimeters for 4-5 hours and then had them do an emergency c-section (which is not all that bad). Prayers for you.
