Of course seeing a doctor is best. But to keep you sane until then some information is helpful. You usually inherit breast cancer from you maternal side. Meaning your mothers side. Usually cancer isn't painful believe it of not. Most women don't feel pain just a small lump. No pain at all.

It is more likely that it is a cyst. If it is painful it probably is a cyst. If you feel a lump that's probably what it is. Try not to keep touching it. Apply warm compresses to it. Get a towel and put it under hot water and rinse it out and apply it to the area. If it does end up being a cyst and depending on the size they may just put you on antibiotics to help get rid of it. If this doesn't help what they do then is drain it. They drain it in the office. Very simple procedure and done ALL the time and safe.

Remember, if it's painful and swollen it's more likely a cyst. Antibiotics is the first thing they should do. If this doesn't help then they will drain it. Don't be scared it will be OK dearie!

Breast cancer... it's usually silent. Most women don't realize they have it. Just an unpainful small or large lump.

Hope this helps, I see this alot.

Your breast could be sore from an injury. Have you done a self-exam? Did you feel anything in the sore area? It is unlikely that it would be breast cancer if you couldn't feel a lump AND you're having pain (usually the lump is what causes pain.) And when in doubt visit your doctor.

Sometimes your breast become very sore when you are about to get your period. This would happen to me. Before I was about to get my period I went jogging and I started to get this pain in my breast. It could be that, but just in case you should try doing a self breast exam to check for any lumps.

you may have pms. sore before periods. start taking vitamin b 6 every day and stay off of caffene cokes ,tea, chocolates ect. do a breast exam or go to planned parenthood and let them do it. check for any hard nonmovable lumps and go see your doctor. cancer is usually not painfull until the very last.I doubt you have cancer but do not put off getting checked
