The western part. The little corner where the coastline went east and then south. To give you an idea of where that is, look at a map. Slaves were taken from Senegal, and all those coastal countries down to Gabon. Some also came from Madagascar and South Africa.

Senegal (Dakar) was a huge port of departure. There is still in Dakar's port a small fort with rooms that they show you to impress your sense of guilt forgetting that the slaves were provided by their own brothers... Slavery was widespread since Antiquity and the core of it has always been provided by the Africans themselves, something they conveniently forget today....
