There are several Harley-Davidson bikes that are excellent cruiser/touring motorcycles. I would suggest you go to a dealer and check out which fits you best. I'm an inch shorter than you, a few pounds lighter and two inches longer in the inseam. I ride a Harley Superglide. Not a real touring machine but definitely a cruiser. If it wasn't for the aftermarket forward controls it would be uncomfortable for me. Keep the forward controls in mind if you come across a Harley you like but the leg ergonomics don't work for you.

Harley Davidson Ultra Classic. Might as well as buy the best. In my opinion the best all round cruiser/touring bike. Lots of storage space. Nice comfortable factory seat. great stereo for those long rides. Nice bat wing fairing. Nice lowers to keep the wind and rain off your legs. and the suspension on a ultra (air shocks) makes it fantastic to adjust to your weight /or an added passengers weight. And of course the satisfaction and pride in owning the best on the road.

It depends on what kind of riding you like. If you want to be noticed and join a fraternity, buy a Harley. If tackling the long winding roads in posh style is your thing, go for the big Honda. Now, if you are a highly intelligent man of discriminating taste and would like to experience the marriage of world class performance and ergonomic comfort, you have no choice, go for the BMW.

Even thought it's a Japanese bike the Kawasaki Vulcan 1600 touring bike will probably do the job. I was on one a few days ago and it will surprise you with the amount of leg room there is. They really do try to accommodate taller guys. It's belt drive and water cooled. I am used to a drive shaft but I must admit their belt, drive like Harley's, ain't bad. Good luck

HD - Electra Glide Ultra Classic....or if you don't like the CB radio,
go with the Electra Glide Classic - but get the lower fairings for
those cold and/or rainy days. Both are very comfy for rider &
passenger.

Suzuki Boulevard 90. Sit on one and I think you will find it very comfortable. I'm about your size and I love mine. The V-twin engine displaces 1500cc (90 cubic inches) and the price is right.

Be extremely confused that a squirrel could get into my pants. And then start screaming. I would probably have ran before, anyway. -RR
