I am thinking of majoring in math, but am not really interested in accounting or teaching/professing. What other kinds of jobs are out there for people who like math?

Math, well that is a tough one. Graduate school is a possibility. I got my degree in math and then worked in engineering for a few years before going back to school. A lot of my classmates either became computer programmers or went into insurance statistics. There is also a pure math research track but that was not all that interesting to me.

Actuaries gets a commission ok and those are oftentimes math majors. My daughter tells me that folk who love math, yet do no longer decide for to easily instruct math do ok in electric engineering (her substantial). Even the different instructions interior the degree are very very nearly completely math proper. very very nearly any form of engineering has an somewhat severe point of math in contact. that's genuine of pc engineering besides and individuals with stable math skills oftentimes think of logically (like a working laptop or pc). those 2 ranges additionally in straightforward terms choose one extra classification in math to get a math minor and that i might upload that those 2 have the right salaries for graduating college pupils. do no longer permit every physique inform you to no longer do nicely in math. chortle of their face in case you're pulling in a initiating revenues of $60,000 a year after commencement!

Depending on where you are located, you can readily find jobs doing research-based projects. Once in college, speak with your professors to find out about any projects/internships that you could work on. Communicating with and getting to know your professors is your most valuable asset in college because they can lead you in the right directions to look for a job and they are invaluable as a reference.
