I have Safety's First 4-in-1 tub. There's a mesh sling that clicks into the tub for babies. Then, there's a bath ring that locks in when they sit. Then, when they're big enough, they just sit in the tub itself. It's from birth until age 2, and was $20 at Wal-Mart. Here's a website for it:

I bathed my son interior the sink particularly a lot from day one. It became only extra accessible than those infant bathtub tubs, and once he ought to sit down down up (round 6 months) he had a blast interior the water, yet i did not might want to kill my decrease back leaning over the bathtub. once he were given slightly too vast for the sink, I moved him to the bathtub and may only positioned a pair inches of water in it and he'd have a ball. only make confident you've some sort of anti-slip mat on the bottom because children get slippery and they'll slide all round the bathtub at any age in case you do not have that mat!! he's now 2 a million/2, and loves his bathtime. I only grab a good e book, sit down on the fringe of the bathtub and enable him play at the same time as i'm getting some chapters study. :)

Yes, if you just use the kitchen sink you have to hold with one hand and wash with the other, but you get pretty good at that. And the window of opportunity, so to speak, for an infant bathtub is so small...I just never bothered.

I used the sink, and when they got too big and wiggly, we moved to the tub.

I just have a plain one, it's really big and has slip proofing stuff on the back. It has a plug and two resevoirs at the foot end to prevent tipping. Worked fine for me.

It's just a no name one... or it doesn't have a name on it.

Now I have an inflatable toddler bath and I love that too, not for infants but for once they can sit that way you don't have to fill the whole tub.

The problem with the kitchen sink is you have to hold them with one hand and wash with the other.

The best infant bathtub ever is the kitchen sink.

I just used the one with the slip-free backing. Its amazing how slippery those little guys can get when they're wet isn't it? :) I don't know the name brand...however I don't think name brand matters so much. I bought an infant tub that you could use in the tub or on the counter, it was slightly tipped back and like I said before, had the slip-free backing and I never had a problem.
It looked like this
