Hey, I live near a big city and we're not all that bad! And how about the Hawaiians treating us HAOLES like garbage because we're not Hawaiian?? Yeah, I spent three years in Honolulu...I know what it's REALLY like out there.

Yes we southerners are not the bad folks that some have put us up to be. If you like to be in the city and have plenty of space, Oak Ridge, Tennessee is a fine neighborhood and the work is more plentiful There are a lot of Asian people living in the city or the surrounding communities There are large churches and smaller ones. We have a great hospital that has grown from small to very large in the past 40 years. It has every thing need to take care of any sickness that one may have. I believe you could e-mail theOak Ridge Chamber of Commerce and get brochures mailed or faxed to you then you can see a lot of things that one person could ever tell you about. Race has never been a problem thatI know of. I was stationed there as an Active Army Advisor between a couple tours in Vietnam until they did away with my job.

depends on where you move to. a small redneck town might not be for you. people are the same basically, no matter where you move . if your friendly and get along with people, most places shouldnt be a problem. i kinda wonder about not being into your own heritage and loving blond and brunette women that love god. sounds kinda superficial. maybe you watch too much tv. down here there are alot of mexicans, blacks, people from india, ect.whites are probably the minority, or getting close to being. ive lived all over the midwest and south, and ive found the christians as being the most prejudiced against anyone who dont believe as they do along with not accepting different races. why not just try being a better person without a label. if your looking for virtuous people, try the amish.. they are the only ones ive seen that actually do what they believe.

I am an Asain, and I live in Texas. I am treated very well here, mainly because I have a lot of friends and family. The people here are very nice and will get out of the way for you. As we all know, there is that small percent that acts rudely, but the predominant population is very nice. The Souther States has a more wide variety of culture than Las Vegas. You will do great! No worries!

People in the South are very hospitable, just be yourself. When I moved to the South I found the best way to make Friends is to lay back and let the Folks get to know me. Good Luck.

Depends on where you go in the South. I live near Atlanta and there's all sorts of people here. I have friends of all persuasions and backgrounds. Granted, not everyone is that way, but most people I know are. The South is still a bit behind the times in some ways but for the most part, it's not much different than living anywhere else except that people are more polite here for the most part.

Oh I just love the stereo type that we are nothing but pios racist hicks. If you read you post you're judging us more than we are you. I feel that if you move to the south, find a church home in a nice town, you'll be very happy. I recomend a town like Birmingham, AL or Mobile, AL or outer Atlanta, GA if you are used to the bigger cities. Rural areas may bore you, but we love em. Pretty much most sotherners live by the golden rule. Treat us right, we'll treat you right. But think hard before you make a major move.

You are aware that whites are not the only ones that live in the South, right? You should be fine, you should have nothing to worry about. I live in Alabama and I see so many different people everyday and I've met people from the North here also.

Wow! It looks like we traded places.
I hated the south and southerners in general so I got out of there and moved to the beautiful state of Hawaii.
Good luck with that.
Aloha,
Dave.

It relies upon on the position you want to stay. i in my view perfer those who stay interior the north because i hit upon them to be slightly extra authentic. I stay interior the north, yet i'm attempting to be as impartial as accessible. there are a selection of non secular human beings everywhere. I also imagine that human beings interior the southern states have a special thoughts-set than human beings interior the north it extremely is demanding to describe. perchance that southern anybody is "closer," yet because you aren't from now on southern or white they received't settle for you with out delay. interior the north human beings i imagine human beings do no longer have a tendency to be as close interior the first position, yet they don't manage others badly both, and also you'd be welcomed interior the Christian community. i don't believe of human beings from long island and Chicago are as superficial, i visit't study with Las Vegas or Honolulu because i have by no skill been to both. i imagine for you it should be perfect in case you visit different elements and chosen that you loved perfect. There are ignorant human beings everywhere and there are patriotic human beings everywhere. yet i wish you discover what you're searching for.
