as in not modern, for a short story I'm writing. What are certain 'tags' i can use?

Use certain cases and pronouns and words that are no longer used...Thou, thee, aye, etc. Sentence structure was also much different and far more formalized.

Get a hold of a non-modernized copy of Chaucer's Canterbury Tales. It's about as old English as you can get. Shakespeare might be helpful, though he's Renaissance.

Beowulf could be handy, but you still have to communicate with a modern audience. And instead of saying "Amen" after your prayers, be sure to say "Forsooth" instead.

Maybe you mean English from closer to Shakespearean times?
