Be honest... you can say yes or no. I'm am to a point. When I worked retail there was a certain race (not going to say which) that I hated having to help because they almost always had an attitude. I know it's not right and I'm trying to work on it. Sorry. But am I alone?

I'm not racist. Racism is ignorance of the broader picture. I can see why you might dislike the attitude, but you don't have to add it on as a factor of that one specific race. Just deal with attitude one costumer at a time.

I am a racist, and I won't apologize for it.

Of course, my understanding of racism rarely agrees with what most other folks seem to think.

I see racial prejudice as a natural survival instinct, given to us by God for our protection.

That doesn't mean we persecute others because of how they were born.

Another misconception which needs correcting is this continuously parroted lie that white people are prejudiced against black people (or whoever) because of "the color of their skin".

Nonsense!

I'm a white man and I am prejudiced against black people because of how they ACT!!!

I refuse to associate with white individuals if they conduct themselves in an unsavory manner.

No, I don't belong to any white racial groups, although I've been invited to join them.

I grew up during the so-called "Civil Rights Movement", and at the time, being an idealistic youth, I agreed with the idea that all races should be equal and all men should be brothers.

But, after all these decades of observing what has happened to our society, our Republic, and the negation of our Constitution, I think we made a terrible mistake.

In trying to correct a past injustice, we have created a far greater evil.

Look at the vitriolic responses you received to your question.

These people have been indoctrinated, and they're saying what they're supposed to say, like good little Nazis or Bolsheviks (i.e., I don't see any difference between Nazis and Bolsheviks).

If they could, they would kill me.

You are right to hide your identity and be cautious.

But, I dare any of these folks to come after me.

Yes, if you click on the icon, that's really my photograph and my real name,

I'm a white man and I live dead center of Washington, D.C., an all black community, and one of the most violent and immoral places on Earth, where they are actually proud of being ignorant.

I am immersed in nightly gunfire and sirens, and the whole city, the capital of our nation, looks like a Third World slum.

So, yes, I am prejudiced.

I am a racist.

Would you like to hear me say the "N" word?

I'm not a racist. I can't really understand racism. I just don't get it. I don't see how the race you were born into has any bearing on what type of human being you are. There are good and bad people in every race. I'm not a hater, and even if I were, I would rather hate on an individual basis.

Well I would hope that you are more open minded than to think that only one race had an attitude when they came to you. I personally think people are all one race the color of the skin is just like a way for God to make us all special and not different. It is really sad that in 2006 people still have issues with race. My advice is to GET OVER IT.

I actually run my own business, and i have to say that I'm not racist at all! In fact, you might say I'm the opposite because there is one race in particular that I favor over all others. This is because people of that race are my BEST customers. Everytime they come into my shop they buy me out! Its uncanny. Oh, and in case you're wondering I'm a watermellon, fried chicken, menthols, ODB, and hair pick salesman.

I think that it's impossible to not be rascist because you will always be biased because of the fact that you have a race. You will either like your own race more because it's yours, or hate it because it's yours. So I guess everyone's a bit rascist, but not everyone is to the point of hate. And no I'm not to the point of hate.

I work in retail as well and don't find myself hating particular races. I hate people because they are inconsiderate dolts, not because they are a different color. People of all races treat others badly and I would hardly attribute that to someones ethnicity.

no.. i'm not racist, however there are some truths in what some racists say. for example many young mexican guys are really macho with their women... black women are loud and have big butts, and talk in ebonics... chinese people really are academic. but whatever, it's all good.

to tell the truth i'm nicer to minorities than like anyone i know... but to say we're all the same isn't exactly right. we're all human, but different races have different cultures. even minorities will tell you that. like you're gonna find more white people at a rock concert than black people - duh.

No, you are not alone. As long as you do not act on those feelings, you are not a racist. It is hard to be impartial when the crime rates are predominately commited by one race. You can't help it that you feel that way, but you can help on acting on them or not.
