is there any way of getting the google searchbar on my desktop

there is also a google side bar.which contains desktop search and web search. you will also get a quick search box which appears on hitting the control key twice...

yes.....download Google Desktop {just search for it on google} and then once downloaded, where those icons are in the bottom right of your screen, right click the google desktop one (swirly yellow red green and blue) and select "floating deskbar". the other modes are pretty cool too but for simply google searches thats the one
