I watched this movie a long time ago. Maybe ten years ago. I was still a child. I do not remember to much about this movie. The only things that I can remember is that this movie is about people that live in a town. But the weird thing is that everyone has special powers. But this people are evil. They were good before but something gave them powers to do bad things. There are only a few people in this town that do no have powers. There is a guy who does not have powers but does something that brings the other people to normal. There is also a child who is in a wheelchair that does not have powers as well. I don't know the name of any actors.

that also reminds me of needful things (1993). it is set in a small maine town. if the evil people got their powers from a curiosity shop, it could be this movie, based on the best-seller by stephen king.

It sounds like The Spring (I could be wrong about the title) Some water in a lake gives most of the town powers but makes them weird. Only a few haven't done it, including a new guy in town that helps them back to normal. At the very end, it is like a portal into another world where the "real" people are trapped and he frees them.

I THINK THAT YOU ARE CONFUSING 2 STEPHEN KING NOVELS MADE INTO MOVIES/TV MINISERIES. IN "THE TOMMY-KNOCKERS", THE TOWNSPEOPLE ARE SLOWLY TAKEN OVER BY AN ALIEN SHIP THAT HAS BEEN BURIED IN THE MAINE WOODS FOR GOD KNOWS HOW LONG. IT STARRED JIMMY SMITS, MARGE HELGENBERGER? AND WAS A 2 OR 3 PART MINI-SERIES FOR TV SWEEPS WEEK.
I CANNOT REMEMBER THE TITLE OF THE OTHER BOOK. IT DEALS WITH A YOUNG MAN, HIS SISTER, AND THEIR UNCLE, WHO IS PLAYED BY GARY BUSEY. THE YOUNG MAN IS IN A SOUPED UP WHEELCHAIR. THE STORY HAS 12 CHAPTERS-ONE FOR EACH FULL MOON. THEIR ARE KILLINGS GOING ON AND THE CHILDREN COME TO BELIEVE THAT IT IS BEING DONE BY A WEREWOLF. THE ONLY ADULT THAT HELPS THEM IS THE UNCLE.
WHILE BOTH THE MOVIE AND TV MINI-SERIES WERE GOOD, NOTING TAKES THE PLACE OF A GOOD BOOK AND OF COURSE, HOLLYWOOD BEING WHAT IT IS, TAKES A LOT OF LIBERTIES WITH THE TRANSLATION TO SCREEN-BE IT THE BIG ONE OR THE LITTLE ONE

It sounds a lot like Steven Kings "The Tommy Knockers". The time frame is right too.
