what smallest number can go into 6 and 9. the answer is 18
6 into 18 3 times so take the 5*3=15 so it is 8 15/16 and than
9 into18 is 2 so 8*2=16 so next number is 4 16/18
so 8 15/18 - 4 16/18 you can not do 15-16 so you need to move a whole number over so 8 15/18 becomes 7 18/18 + 15/16 so it would be 7 33/16 - 4 16/18 so it is 7-4 (3) and 33-16= 17 so it is
3 17/18

8 5/6 - 4 8/9
Here's one way...
First find the common denomimator:
5/6 and 8/9... the lowest common multiple between 6 and 9 would be 18.
Put the fractions over 18:
8 5/6 - 4 8/9 become
8 15/18 - 4 16/18
Subract the nonfraction parts, then the fraction parts:
8 - 4 = 4
15/18 - 16/18 = -1/18
Add those together:
4 + (-1/18) = 3 17/18
Or you could do it this way...
Put both mixed fractions into improper fractions:
8 5/6 = 53/6
4 8/9 = 44/9
Find the common denominator (which is 18, we figured it out above) and put the fractions over 18.
53/6 = 159/18
44/9 = 88/18
Subtract:
159/18 - 88/18 = 71/18
Simplify:
71/18 = 3 17/18
I like the first way better, but some people like the second way...
Hope I helped!

well, first lets take the fractions and alter them...
8 5/6 = 6x8+5/6= 53/6
4 8/9= 9x4+8/9= 44/9
so now you have,
53/6 + 44/9
now, you have to make the denominatiors equal...6 and 9 both go into 18, so you will times the top and bottom of 53/6 by 3, and the top and bottom of 44/9 times 2, so you have
159/18 + 88/18
now, since the denominators are like, you can add the numerators, so the final fraction is
247/18, or 234 13/18 or 13.72

8 5/6 - 4 8/9
1st you find the common denmonater which is 18 because 6 times 3 = 18 and 9 times 2 = 18. then you would times 8 times 2 and you get 16 and then you times 5 times 3 and you get 15. now you have 8 15/18 and 4 16/18. then you have to borow 8 and make it a 7 and add 8 to 5 and you get 13 then you times 13 times 3 and you get 39. now you have 7 39/18 - 4 16/18. then you - 7 -4 and u get 3. then u subtract 39/18 and 16/18 and you get 23/18. which is 3 23/18 and then you reduce and you get 4 5/18. soooo your answer is 4 5/18

8 5/6 = 53/6 and 4 8/9 = 44/9, 53/6 -44/9 = 159-88/18, 71/18= 3 17/18 or 8 5/6 is 8.8 and 4 8/9 =4.9 ; 8.8-4.9=3.9

you do not heavily anticipate human beings the following to do all those homework complications for you, do you??? you need to a minimum of tutor that you try ... do you no longer understand what mean, median and mode is? possibly it really is the position you want help, and then you'd be in a position to do a majority of those complications and many extra all on your own! mean = what maximum folk call "common" --- upload up each and each and every of the sums of your N type of things, then divide the entire by N to get the mean MEDIAN is yet another style of common --- look at your set of numbers and divide them into 2 halves, a decrease 0.5 and an higher 0.5. The median is the cost at which precisely 0.5 of your set falls lower than it and nil.5 your set falls above it. MODE is yet another style of common --- look at your set of numbers and note which fee takes position quite typically. it extremely is the mode. the following is an party -- study from this then keep on with this for your own homework complications! evaluate the set of numbers a million, 10, 11, eighty, eighty The mean is (a million + 10 + 11 + eighty + eighty) / 5 = 36.4 The MEDIAN is 11, because 0.5 your values (a million, 10) are lower than 11, and nil.5 your values (eighty, eighty) are aove 11. The MODE is eighty --- eighty takes position two times interior the record, all the different numbers take position in common words once. wish this facilitates!

gotta put 5/6 and 8/9 into the least common multiple they both go into .... let's change them all into /36ths
to change 5/6 into somthing over 36 you multiply both top and bottom by 6 to get 30/36
then to change 8/9 to somthing /36 multiply top and bottom by 4
32/36
so now you got 8 and 30/36 - 4 32/36
now since 30 is less than 32 we need to convert one of the wholes of 8 to 36ths--- 1 is equal to 36/36 so we can now say
7 66/36 - 4 32/36 = well 66 minus 32 is 34 and
7-4= 3
answer is 3 and 34/36 ---- which is simplified to 3 and 17/ 18

easier way to solve it:
8x6+5=53 is the numerator but you keep you denominator 53/6
4x9+8=44 , so it will be 44/9 now subtract
53/6-44/9=(53x9)-(44x6) all over 54 and there is your answer
