Using my best knowledge, I would say that many people believe Dwight Howard to be an "overrated player" due to the fact that he does not play with as much brilliance as is being credited to him.

Here is what I think why people think hes overrated: Points Per Game. People think the guy who scores the most in the league is the best. People forget that hes the leading rebounder in the game with over 13 boards a game. PPG isnt whats makes a player good, its the package the player comes in and Dwight is a rebounding machine and a dunking machine, did you hear the dunks he made in Portland? DAMN!

No, Howard is still a monster in the paint and he has YEARS to improve his offensive game. He's still a hella young. And several players throw elbows. Most of them are unintentional though. You must not get how hard it is to avoid hitting someone with elbows when you are AS BIG and POWERFUL as Dwight. Yes, I said it. But you have another powerful center coming at you. Able to block the ball or foul you since you're terrible at the line, so are you going to go up all nice and calm like or jump up like a ******* beast and jam the ball in the hoop at all costs?

anyone who says he's overrated is just speaking the language "retard" and saying he's undeveloped. umm he just turned 21 i don't even think he shaves yet. anyone who says he's overrated needs to relax and find someone else to hate on...like tim duncan. no one likes duncan.

He's not over rated, he's a beast. He's not K.G., he's a younger, quicker, more skilled and in shape version of Shaq.
