You are perfectly right with this question. Hitler not only caused terrific damages to his time but to our time as well. He created a situation which will last for ever and that generations are going to pay. The Holocaust created an insolvable problem in Palestine and precipitated the decline of Europe vs. her colonies. Without Hitler, Israel would not exist and the Arabs would have successfully prevented the colonization of Palestine. Without Hitler, the notion of racism and antisemitism would be less developed and the Europeans would not have to hide in political correctness less to be cataloged as "racists".
The Russians would never have been in a position to inflict upon us their bloody cold war, Poland, Hungary and Central Europe would have been free of stupid Communism and the influence of Germany in the world would be much greater and her people much happier because Hitlerism is a stain that they will never erase.

A good question. Perhaps Hitler set the bar for future leaders to take what they need without his nasty bits. Hitler was the rock star of his time. He and his cronies almost made nationalism a religion. Certainly, no one in the Western world wants to be considered in the same breath with Hitler but there are several world leaders around today that are using his tactics. We can take heed in the future to try to snuff out Hitlerian personalities before they develop and do more harm.
The plight with the Jews is another matter. There have always been terrorists in the Middle East before the State of Israel was created but the presence of the Jewish state does act as a buffer between some other nations who might be too strong if put together. Everyone wants to blame Hitler for the plight of the Jews but the reason the State of Israel was created is because most countries did not want to take the Jews displaced by WWII.
Really a terrible travesty but it wasn't only the Jews who died in interment camps.
The answer is yes...and no.

There is a point of view that states that we have to remember history in order to avoid repeating the mistakes of history and the basic flaw in your reasoning is that your history seems to begin and end with Hitler.
"Exodus " tells the story of the Jews getting out of Egypt in the time of the Pharaohs. In fact, virtually the whole of the old testament is about Jews complaining about one thing or another principally being slaughtered! I know that sounds a bit irreverent or flippant and I'm not saying it because I'm anti-Semite, but Jewish extermination has been a fact for most of recorded history and the bible, if it is to be believed, has made sure that no one has ever forgotten it. So don't make Hitler out to be anything more than another monster, If you feel the need to panic and you feel the need to apportion blame then you should blame Tutankhamen or Ptolemy II for your fear of terrorists

Hitler was a dictator pure and simple so no. There is a lot more to the cause of world war 2 than the holocaust. Hitler had aggressive aims and so to get what he wanted he had to be aggressive to other countries. If he hadn't caused the holocaust, he still wouldn't be known as a great leader cause he wasn't. Hitler actually made himself the leader of Germany so no one voted him in. He was voted to be chancellor but not supreme leader

Hitler and Mussolini caused permanent/damage to the future of humanity. The quest for Nuclear Bombs started from there.Had the nuclear bomb had not been invented the world wars would not have been possible, theirt may be only large scale fighting with less human destruction. Now every country is after nuclear bomb and preparing for war. There is no political solution except restraint. All wars are ultimately based on race /religion superiority. The ongoing war/terrorism in most part of the world is USA(Christians) against Muslims and vice versa.

Well, here's the problem. You attribute all of the Jewish persecutions to Hitler, when it had actually been going on for centuries prior to Hitler's existence. There were pogroms and exterminations of these peoples long before him; however, a great deal of focus is put on him because of the sheer numbers who died as a result of his orders.
Remember, it wasn't just the jewish who died under his command, even though they were a vast majority. Christians, Jehovahs Witnesses, Polish, Romani gypsies, Slavics, homosexuals, mentally retarded, anyone who opposed his rule or helped the resistance were sentenced to death. There were special camps for each in the beginning, but in the end, he just had in mind to kill as many people as he could. He was a twisted little man, but he is NOT soley responsible for the state of our country today.
Hitler isn't to blame for this movemnt toward poltical correctness- instead it is the American people themselves, who have, in thw past several decades, demanded apologies for the behavior of our ancestors, reparations and reformations of our lives, speech patterns, etc.
Don't blame a long dead dictator - blame your granparents, parents, neighbors, teachers, political leaders for making us live under a fear of our own language, nay even our own thoughts at times; for allowing the misuse, misunderstanding and general abuse of the idea and term "racism".
"Political Correctness" by Phillip Atkinson is an excellent article that discusses the social tyranny of being PC all the time - of living in the fear of our own words. I've linked the article below.
Do note, that things were not so bound up and uptight even 30 years ago. Do also note, that this country is one of the only to insist that we musts needs police our speech so much that we can barely speak anymore, and allows a system of persecution of those who do speak their minds, een when they are fully correct.
And that intelligently speaking your mind is still valued and appreciated by many of us.
If you don't like how things stand, then change them. It starts one person at a time, and many people don't like the trend of this country any more than you do. So help change it.

all terrible events in the past resound through the following ages its called history , you can say the same about Alexander ,Genghis Ghana, The Romans, the Vandals , the Goths , the British , The Gauls , The Vikings ,Stalin and many many more , all left there mark some of them as blood thirsty and cruel as Hitler , the only difference between them and Hitler was that they left some good behind them , learning enlightenment , science . Hitler left nothing but destruction . but like all episodes of history his affect will fade like all the others ,and history will mark him as a tyranical murderer that he was

History is full of madmen and madwoman who caused hideous pain & suffering among people of their time. But you seem to be blaming our present day fears of political incorrectness on Hitler. I do wish they still taught history in the schools of the USA. Every major civilization since humans started living in groups has gone down the same path. We fear and hate what or who is different; then we learn to accept the different; then we start apologing to the different for being what we are.
Hitler preached purity of race and proclaimed the Aryan (white) race to be superior. He had a special hatred for Jewish people. It is interesting to note that his grandmother was Jewish. Did she abuse him when he was small? Did millions die because of Granny?
You want fear & hatred of anything or anyone different, read about the Roman Empire, the Pharoh's of Egypt, the Aztec Empire, the Khan's of Mongolia, the Japanese Warrior caste, the Crusaders, European nations in Africa, etc. How about the witch hunts right here in the USA or the treatment of African slaves in the USA.
Americans are short-sighted because they have never learned history, and so are forced to make the same mistakes past nations have made. So here is my philosophy: keep your little cornor of the world right. Be a good person, don't trash your space, respect others, avoid those who are unbalanced, don't get angry about things you cannot change, do get angry about cruelty. Do judge people on how they act and what they stand for. Ignore their physical beauty or lack of, color, religion, sex, size or age. Hitler couldn't have done the damage he did if the German people had stood up to him early when he first started acting crazy. Instead they tried to ignore him and hoped he would go away. Evil doesn't go away unless you make it go.

No. Genocides and exterminium camps happend before and after (other countries) AND terrorism is more associated to more complex scenario.
Many can say that Middleeast crisis started many centuries before recente features...BUT worst results come from Cold War period.
Rezbolah was created during the period when Israel invaded Lebanon hunting Arafat (80's) (Rezbolah was necessary to provide minimum support (medicine, doctors, food) to the population. Saddam in Iraq was "created" to contain Xiita expansion in Iran in later 70's. Afghanisthan had support from USA and arabian countries to avoid Comunism expasion in Asia. (Against URSS, Russian) and Al Qaeda born with this objective.
Since our ocidental History geban, fear comes from GREED. Freedom, Human Rights and Ecology are not respected due major excuses: Profit and Politics.
Germans has nothing to do with Opium war in china, Massacres in south America by dictadors and neither to African Crisis.
Perhaps your question is incomplete, then, I suggest to cancel this one and add another one, more complete.

He set the world on fire, that's for sure. But he wasn't the worst, not even the worst in the 20th Century. Stalin and Mao were arguably worse.
Pity help us if/when AMERICA ever breeds a monster of this type- but then that could never happen, could it? Not in a "free market economy",,, oh no no no......
