Yawning, according to scientific studies, is the natural reaction of the brain that lacks oxygen... yes, yawning is contageous with other people but not for everyone. Psychologists said the if a person see yawning and he/she yawns... most of these people are "EMPHATIC"... these people mostly feel what others feelings.....hope you are not yawning reading my explanation...

Yeah I HATE that! One time in school i yawned. The my best friend next to me yawned..then someone else, then nearly the whole class..no joke! Then me and my friend got detention for disrupting the class... :)

Especially when we yawn to get more oxygen to our brain. Seems weird that everyone else in the area needs oxygen at the same time, doesn't it? What a hoot!

Yes. Have you seen the studies people have done trying to prove that it's not contagious just by watching others around you do it? I think they are very wrong.
