sounds bad as in:
1. holy exhaust?
2. engine running rough?
3. grinding coming from somewhere...?

I have to disagree with the dodge man. I would start with a compression cheek to see if a tune up is worth doing.

what does it sound like, sometimes its not worth a tune up if its a rod knocking or something major.

i own a repair shop,and its hard to answer this one ,because you didn't say what it sounded like,and i cant hear it,,so ,all i can tell you if its running bad id try a good tune up,,you don't have nothing to loose if its running that bad,,good luck i hope this help,s.,,have a good x-mas.
