but only because of those dumb "Bobby Jack" T-shirts and such? I've always liked monkeys but definitely not because of Bobby Jack. But I guess my real question is, why do so many people like things only because everyone else does? Why can't we all just be different and individualand just not care what others think??? Grr!

What do you think?

I totally agree with you girl. To me, some people think that he/she is cooler too if only he/she had the same toys (i.e. sidekicks, ipods, outfits, etc etc) as other people. As for me, I came to accept that I could be different too and don't have to be a follower in the crowd like the rest of us, but instead be a leader. Get what you want for the things you like. Avoid getting things that others have that you won't have use for. It's just waste of money when you can buy something that you like. Be yourself and be a unique individual.

I hate that! Besides, I LOVE squirrels. One day, I went shopping with my aunt to a really far away mall so I could find something unique that no one else would have. But guess what, the store opened close to where I live and everyone bought the exact same shirt I was wearing! Got me mad! I know how you feel. I hate the Bobby Jack monkeys anways, they are not all that cute.

because some people don't realize how good of pet a certain animal will make until they start seeing a lot of them around. Not that monkeys are good pets, i would love to have one but understand they don't make good pets. An example if ferrets, they didn't use to be popular then everybody started seeing them and thought they were cute and one was even in the movie i forgot the name starring Jennifer Anniston.

I agree, I like being different. But at the same time, if everyone were so different, manufacturers couldn't possibly keep up with all the possibilities. Every clothing store would just be as plain as anything. Then you'd have to make all your clothing which would be cool too but after a while it would get old i think

I am an individual with tastes that seldom are the norm. I don't even know who Bobby Jack is. That should tell you something!

it would be nice but deep down we all want to fit in, be the same, no one wants to be out of the heard, look what happens in the wild you stray from the herd and you die,its basic human behavour, its not a bad thing its just the way it is.

If every last one of us were independent thinkers that would make us all the same, wouldn't it? My brain hurts now.
