The answer is....... Because the majority of people out there do not know how to make up their own minds and so they simply turn on the radio and expose themselves to whatever garbage is coming out of the speakers. Everyone is too lazy to decide for themselves what good music really is. People think Hip Hop and Rap are good because that's what advertising tells us. We listen to and obey all that is around us in the media today. It is time you turn off you radios and televisions. It is time to stop listening to what those people are getting paid to tell you anyway. Do you really think that Catherine Zeta Jones loves T-mobile so much that she gets up everyday to do a new commercial because she feels like it??.. No, absolutely not. She says that T-mobile is the perfect cell service provider for you because she is being paid millions of dollars to say it........ Anyways.. it's the same thing with music.... make up your own minds people... don't just listen to something because it's being played the most on the radio!!

It's just about preference I suppose. I like it because I like the way the beats move through my body and the lyrics are more than just a bunch of words rhyming fast. I don't really see it as being in, like I don't think people just like it because other people do.. rap and hip-hop is powerful music.. one might ask the same question about country...

It is popualr, because it has rhythem, beat, and it's something you can dance to most of the time. Lot's of people also like it when u can just come up with words that (hopefully) make sense and it also has rhythem and music to it. It's like poetry with cool funky music.

Its a stupid Fad, like many other music fads. Im hoping it'll end soon and lets see what better stuff is in the future. And watch those one-hit wonders fade away.
