When the snow first falls, and everything is covered, there's a crisp, clean smell to everything. The air seems so fresh because of it. The snow itself really doesn't have a smell, unless, of course, it's covering something else that smells.

The smell of snow mostly comes from the dirt and dust that it collects on its way down through the atmosphere.
