6.75 x 10^8

scientific notation should always have the first number be a one digit integer (number between 1 and 9)
(the person who said 675 to the 6th power is incorrect - sorry! 675 is a three digit number)

so put your 675 into a decimal ---> 6.75 and then count how many places you moved that decimal ----> 8 times

soooo 6.75 x 10 to the 8th power

hope that helps...
good luck!

in sci notation, you have to have a number 1 to 9 then x 10 to some power so it would be 6.75 x 10 to the 8th power, or 6.75 x 10^8

6.75x10 to the 8th power...

a number is expressed in scientific notation when it is written in the form;

a x 10 raised to n

where 1 is less than or equal to (a)
and (a) is less than 10

It's easy: 6.75 X 10 to the 8th. there has to be one number in front of the decimal and count every space after that and add that to ten.
