Come on, you can't honestly think that you'll get a "yes" answer here.

Besides, your question has to be a joke right?

I think you actually started a sandstorm.

In a biblical perspective, man is the head of the household, and woman submits, as told by God. If the man is following God's will as he should, then the woman follows him, and respects his position. However, if he is not following God as he should, then a woman is not to follow that path.

Domestically speaking, man is still head of the household, but his wife is his partner. He should take charge when needed, but any decisions that are made must be made mutually. Also, the wife must be consulted on important, well, any, issues that affect the marriage, and the household. It is a partnership, not a master/slave relationship.

Mostly no. Men should have some athourity I guess, but if the man asks him wife to do something wrong or unreasonable than sahe sould definatly go against him and do the right thing. Most of all, the disitions between married couples should be made together as a team.

Biblically speaking yes. But being the head of the family doesn't mean that he is the dictator and the wife a slave. Wife is a helpmate and the weaker gender so she shall be treated with love and care. In return, the wife should submit to the husband giving respect and honor to her husband.

yes they should, look how much better shape our country was in in relation to the family unit, when the wife was seen and not heard, when the man earned the money and the wife ran the house and when women were stay at home mom's and took care of their mans every desire. the worst thing to happen to the united states in the last 200 years was equal rights. women will never be equal to a man and should know their place in the house and in a relationship, and if a woman were to be brought back to those standards there would be less divorces. look at my question - men lets unite this column

Scipturally speaking yes. . . as long as they love their wives as Christ loves the church (in other words respect and value them above all other women and treat them like gold). You have to earn the right to be and stay the head of the household and when you do submission will not be a problem because she will want to please you (not as a servant, but as a help mate). No one will submit to anyone else unless the other person earns their respect and their love.

Are you a JW? This mantra is constantly repeated in JW teachings and I think within reason perhaps most of the posters can agree to at least parts of it. The way that this statement comes across through in this day and age is very offensive to women because it makes them sound subservient. I do think woman should concede to a man (so long as he is intelligent enough to handle the responsibility) in certain areas just as a man should concede to his wife in certain areas (again assuming she deserves it.)

I agree 100% with snddupree! Absolutely. Women need to make their men feel needed. But in the event that the man is not ready to take his place as head of house hold and does not know what to do than the woman who usually matures faster should assume that role until the man understands what he is suppose to do. But absolutely, that is what the man is suppose to do and we are to take care of him. But he must understand that things are not as they were back in the day. We work, we go to school and (for those who have kids) take care of the kids. So being leniant would be wonderful.

Actually yes.
I'm a God -fearing woman with values!!!
I'm not saying that I bow down to my fiance' but I have to give him that respect because that's the facts!!!! ......Wives Submit to your own husband. The Bible doesn't lie and if other women follow the guidelines you'll have more successful realtionships.

There's one thing to submit and another thing of being a fool!!! But we have to respect and submit to our mates.

"snddupree" is right!!! Men are supposed to be head of the house but only if they deserve it. If a man beats his wife or children and talks down to them all the time, he does not deserve to be head of the household. He deserves to be beaten.. (tortured)....

my mom and me and my brother and sister were abused up until about a year ago.. he used to say "men are head of house... blah blah blah" so... i can only imagine...
