Right now I'm in a relationship, which I've been in for nearly a year now. And I'm very, very happy. The thing is, I had a dream the other night that I was with my boyfriend, a few other faceless people, and my old best friend's ex boyfriend, let's call him Charlie. So I'm sitting at a table playing cards with my boyfriend when Charlie walks up out of nowhere. Now, I haven't seen this guy in nearly 8 months, so this was rather strange. So I got up to hug him and we're suddenly twirling and I'm telling him how much I missed him and he suddenly kisses me...but I pull away and tell him that I'm in a very loving relationship.... So I get on myspace today....and there is a message from Charlie... I don't believe in coincidences...so does anyone have any idea what my dream could've meant?

First of all, you dream because you experience. Experience comes first before your dream. The name Charlie came in your mind because there are chances that name will be on myspace. Yes, you can call it coincident.

As far as the detail of your dream goes,

Charlie = past desire, past relationship.

Charlie is a only symbol to your subconscious mind that you are seeking for more than close relationship. Charlie could also be your conscience. Basically, you are seeking for assurance about your current relationship. You may feel insecure about your current relationship. Having that charlie popped up in your dream is to tell yourself that you need to be assured that you are okay now and this may be it. Basically, it translates into "insecurity" in some sense. This is coming out from your subconscious mind

Oh, this is interesting. So spooky.
This is a concidence for sure.
The dream you describe was buried deep down in the inner recess of your mind. As time went on, it resurfaced because you certainly had a fleeting moment about having some kind of relationship with him - long before this loving relationship you are in. It just came out.

Dreams are really a replay of something you had in your mind. Put it this way - why I did not get such a dream about your friend's ex? Because I never met him, I do not know who he is. But you do. Therefore, the dreams are just a replay.

About your myspace and his message - whew, that is definitely a concindence. There is no rhyme or reason for this to occur. He would have sent you a message even if you did not have this dream.

This kind of thing happens to me all the time. I will dream about someone
or something and then it happens. I don't understand why but it seems that
it might be some kind of hint more than a warning or omen. Most often it is
not important at all. You are in a good relationship so the whole Charlie
thing is nothing. He was not is. The universe was probably just trying to
let you know ahead of time that he was about to show up. Go about your
life like nothing happened.

dreams are usually the way your mind organizes itself. We dream about specific people because they represent something in our own lives. Something we are struggling with, like an addiction, or something that we long for or even something that we are currently learning about ourselves.

I don't believe that a dream like this has anything to do with your ex boyfriend.

and by the way - ignore the message, or if you must reply - then tell Charlie not to message you again. Once you start down that path, it's very difficult to separate the dream from reality.

I'm no "professional-dream-interpreter" or anything of that sort, but maybe your dream is a sign telling you that you're going to cross paths with "Charlie" soon. It may mean that he may want to start something, however, you have to realize that you need to stand your ground and be firm about being in a happy relationship if he tries something.

Um, maybe you were role-playing your old best friend? I mean, it could be possible that something about the myspace message that sent signals to your brain or something... but, if you're in love with your boyfriend, i'm sure that Charlie's not gonna have any affect on that...
