im 4 days late of my period, and im kind of stressing out. ive heard you can get pregnant from precum and semen usually dies when it comes in contact with air unless its kept warm but blah. i dont know...im just really worried and am probablly just overreacting, and my period is probably just late but the only thing is is that im not really stressing out or anything. the boyfriend and i have been having small problems but nothing serious and that about it. any help?

my friend got pregnant that way. air does not kill sperm. April and her boyfriend were dry humping and he came and she got pregnant. She was still a virgin. So.. yeah it can and does happen. Get a pregnancy test if you are still late after a week - week and 1/2.

A lot of times stress will make you miss your period by a few days. Not just stress over the possibility of becoming pregnant, but stress from anything. There is a very small possibility that the sperm could fertilize an egg, but for the most part I wouldn't worry about it. Did he do that RIGHT after it came into contact with precum/semen?
People say that precum contains sperm, but I've read that in various small-scale studies, it doesn't. I've read in a few published articles that precum is leftover sperm from a previous ejaculation and can only contain live sperm if a male previously ejaculated and did not urinate afterward. The precum pushes the sperm out of the penis and that's where it comes from. The studies they took showed small clumps of sperm, but none were mobile in any fashion. (This is from "Why do men fall asleep after Sex?". Interesting book, really.)
Anyways, try to calm down. If you really are worried, buy a home pregnancy test for around 8 dollars? (probably more.) If you don't want to do that, you can always go to a Birthright or a Planned Parenthood for a free pregnancy test, that way you'll know for sure.
They do it for free and it's completely confidential. If they do tell someone (like your parents?) about it, you can sue the Hell out of them for disclosing confedential information.

You start off in the beginning of your question saying "I'm kind of stressing out", then later on you say "I'm not really stressing out or anything". Either you are or you aren't. The stress can make your period be late. If you are late just take a test. YES, you can get pregnant from precum, I did.
