go to your local music store and look around. most major brands have cheaper versions of the expensive ones. the main thing you need to check is the space between the strings and the neck. if the action is too high, it will be difficult to play. epiphone makes good inexpensive flat tops, you want to get something half way decent if your serious about learning. if you buy a piece of sh*t, youll just want something better 6mo. down the road. look for sales, you should be able to buy one for under $200.

Hi i'v played guitar for 10 yrs i'm 24 and am now on electric since past 7 yrs.....
Any acoustic is good for a beginner just get some decent strings for it....... Maybe a martinez acoustic they're about $200 aust... which is cheap and they last... Remember to get some good strings though metal ones not nylon they are crap......
if you can't put strings on get the service to help you put them on at the music store you buy your guitar at they're more than happy to help out with that sort of thing........ You might wanna get an electric tuner too it can be tricky if you don't know what an E string sounds like.....Although Ibanez is my fav guitar as you can prob tell from my aviator name it's best to start out cheap and easy...............
All the best with your guitar practicing... Rock on!!!!
Ibanez xoxo
