Try running Spybot in safe mode (press F8 repeatedly while booting until you get the odd menu)

Also try running CCleaner

You did not say what Antivirus software you are running. Spybot is not really an antiviris program. If you don't have one, try comodo, it's free and quite effective.

I suggest that you try to carryout system restore to a day previous to the day when there was no virus or any problems. It may be a few weeks or months back. You have to decide the date. Detailed instructions are posted at http://fixit.in/systemrestore.html
The problem is likely to be solved. Then,You insatll a standard antivirus soft ware such as Norton, AVG , Avast ( free antivirus software and Ad-aware, Ewido ( free spyware removers). You can download free softwares at
http://fixit.in/antivirus.html and http://fixit.in/spywareremover.html

A trial version of Asquared can be downloaded here.

It's a scanner that specializes in finding trojans. You can use it free for a month. Before you begin your scan, turn off system restore. If you don't, the nasty will just pop up again. After scanning and removing the nasty, turn system restore back on.

I also had a very similer problem, the best thing you can do is TURN OFF THE COMPUTER the virus (if its harmful) is most likely chewing away at your computer and it gets worse the more you have your computer on, the best thing you can do is shut it down and to take it into someone who knows how to take care of the problem, probably any computer store (best buy, circuit city etc. etc.)
