Maybe PETA came in and said it was discrimanation and not politically correct to call them fish. I mean they do sell those little frogs and snails and little ghost shrimp things right? So those are not fish now they can all safely be called wet pets and no one gets their feelings hurt

I don't know... I'm from the north but have lived in the south since I was 15. Can't figure out why up north they are called scallion,and in the south they are called green onions, Or why bell peppers are called green peppers here. Striped Bass are called Rock fish.
Wet pets I guess they think sounds cuter. Like Mc Donalds is refered to a Mickie D's

"amphibious americans" that was classic... reminds me of myself the other day talking to some people about my black friend peter... hes a black jew I am also a jew... no jokes... and they flipped out on me and said how dare you call him a black man... and i said huh? they went off about how its not politically correct to call him black... i said well hes also a jew... so i guess i will call him a black jew :D they flipped and said its african american you crackah... they were white btw... i started laughing hysterically. and said well that would be more of an insult to him i think than a black or black jew... you see he is from england... african american is an insult to an african britian... political correctness is so assinine... oh yes i did spell it wrong on purpose... theres a hidden msg for you pc people...

Because they no longer sell just fish and believe it or not, it is cheaper to get signs with the same title "Wet pets" instead of different ones for each catogory: lizards, fish, turtles, crabs, and frogs.

They call them "wet pets" for the same reason they keep 40 goldfish in a 10 gallon tank. They are STUPID.
