Christine: Narcism stem from an attitude of superiority. This grandiose thinking leads to criticism of others, gossip, being the "final" word on all things and even, belittling YOU ! Tell your "majesty" that you feel like dumping him because of his "better than thinking" and that you refuse to take his abuse any longer. When he sings Christmas carols, does he sing, "We wish ME a merry Christmas" ? Narcissistic people are difficult to live with or be with. They fail to see their own "humanness" and they are god ! He needs to get a real grip on this issue he has. I bet he doesn't have many real close friends either. Get him into counselling ( I doubt if he will go) ... he's sick and will only become worse as time goes on . It must be hard to be superior in such a mediocre world for him ? !!! Good luck to you, "Christine" !!!

That would be my instinct. I was in a relationship with a narcissist. They care more about themselves than anyone else. He had like 50 pairs of jeans and more haircare products than I did. And nothing in the world is going to change him. Do yourself a big favor and move on. In time, you will see that it was the right decision. Life with a narcissist is lonelier than being by yourself.

It's best to leave him. He won't change.
