In my opinion, there is more psychological and sociological significance to "Green Eggs and Ham" than the philosophical. The book was published under the guise of being a children's book; however, it is a product of government post world war II government social engineering, whereas green eggs represented minority races and ham represented minority religions. The subconscious allusions and inferences were drawn within the book in order to create "harmony" among these various groups, which back in the 50s was very much divided. In my opinion, this seemingly very simple book was not quite so simple as it was popularly portrayed as having.

Dude, see, it makes you really think... Green eggs and ham... that's some real deep stuff...
I mean, eggs aren't green, and where the hell do you get ham? Then you'll think does it mean the only the egg is green or the ham is also green? Then does it mean that only ham is green? Or maybe none of them are green and it's just a figure of speech... Or maybe they just used green food coloring, which is bad for you. So why do they put green of all colors? Does it symbolize something? Does it signify the prominence of trees? Does it mean that we're killing trees too much that the eggs turned green? Or is it the the eggs were jealous that the ham were more well liked and turned green with envy?
Then it makes you think... did Dr Seuss like Green eggs and Ham?

It means that you always have to be open to new things, that sometimes being stubborn doesn't get you anywhere, but it does make you miss out on a lot. It's simply saying that it's always good to try things at least once...you never know if you'll like it unless you try it.

When we juxtapose the "green eggs" and "ham" then we can see seuss's juxtaposition of the poor and pumpkins, and how socio-economic relif via propositon 389 is critiacal.

It means you gotta try new things, just because it looks weird and smells funky doesn't mean it isn't tasty!

Good grief! It is a children's book!!! Kids like it.
Why do you need to make it something else? Isn't it good enough as it is?

Do not eat food that is green -- It is probably bad and rotten , and if you eat it you will die.
