A manual transmission and a stick shift are the same thing. You have to have the stick to shift the manual transmission.

Manual.
Automatics take a longer time to reach top speed. Can give you heart palpitations when trying to overtake on a narrow 2-way road.
Manuals are cheaper.
Like Jack said above, Manual = Stick shift.
