It's bad enough when civilians are killed during bombings or fires during the normal course of the war. Those deaths are more or less random. However when someone makes the decision that your race doesn't have the right to exist, and systematically goes about eliminating your race, it's much worse.

1) 1/3 of all Jews in the world were killed.
2) They were killed BECAUSE they were Jews.
3) There was an explicit policy to kill all the Jews in the world.
Movie producers had nothing to do with it.

Because they were not just killed they were systematically exterminated. By the way they were not just jews, they were gypsys, poles, homosexuals, political dissidents and the mentally handicapped among others.
