I know someone who has one and claims it stopped their horse but that was a young horse that was not real aggressive w/cribbing. My theory on it is if your not there all the time to push that button to prevent the horse from doing what is once in awhile going to solve...nothing except to stop annoying you for the horse will learn not too but when your gone he will start back up. NOt a good preventive measure. jDid you know there is a surgery that a cribber can go thru but is not 100% and does leave some scaring. Also there are injections of some sort but not alot of documentation on it. Just did some research on this to see some of the other alternatives. Good luck.

That is the electric collar for cribbers right??
I haven't used one, but have seen them. I have a cribber that not a single one of those dang cribbing collars work on, not even that "Miracle Collar". Not form of cribbing paint or even Tabasco sauce works on her either.
I think it's mental and incurable for my horse.
But if you do try the shock collar let me know how it works for yah. Is that something that you have to be within sight and a certain distance to use and push a button or what...I don't know.

they'd be good for an electric horse. My brother-in-law tried an electric collar on a dog. It was a huge mistake.

I was going to rent one from the local tack shop for a horse that used to bite me. But I ended up selling him.
I heard they work wonderful. They are not cruel.. They do not fry the horse or anything. It is the equal to what you feel when you walk across the floor in socks and get socked by a door knob. Electric fences shock alot harder.
I think it is a good way to correct a bad or dangerous behavior.
Everytime that horse pinned his ears at me.. I was going to shock him.
He just got away with biting so much that he did it all the time by time he got to me. He was so quick and sneaky I wouldn't even see it coming. The other training said he was trying to play with me. He would bite me so hard on the tops of my hands that I was in so much pain I couldn't react. So he would get a way with it.
If I could just zapped him when I saw him coming or set him up for it, My hands would of been saved. (Don't worry I still have my hands:) )

I haven't used and never will and totally disagree with it. If you want a horse to do something then you should do it in a kind manner. The horse should want to do it, NOT be forced. This device and others used by idiotic animal owners are inhumane, cruel and sick and cause more damage than good. Those who even consider using these devices dserve to have the devices used on them.
