Paramecia are single-celled organisms within the Protista Kingdom (Eukaryotic). They move with little tiny hairs surrounding their cell membrane, called cilia. They can consume food particles in fresh water through an oral groove that they have, which then allows the food to go into a gullet, which then makes food vacuoles throughout the cell. The neatest thing about them, in my opinion, is their water-expelling vacuole that kind of resembles a starfish when full. It expands and contracts to allow water to enter and release from the cell.
