what is the main conflict and an individual conflict in the story?

The main conflict would be that something more deadly, more dangerous than vampires have been awakened under the earth and are about to make a big move. Hence the need for the creation/infection of more vampires.

The individual conflict would be that for the most part he hasn't figured out that the vampires are the good guys relatively speaking...and so he feels torn. He's not supposed to kiss or be intimate with anyone because that would turn them to vampires...but he falls in love. So his conflict is about who he is and what any future girlfriends would become.
