No, it would be necessary to prove malice (they did it on purpose). And that could not be proved - wouldn't even know if they were aware.
Whomever would be involved in such would just need to get better friends and acquaintences.

It would ultimately depend on the circumstances, If , for instance, you visited a professional and caught oneThey would probably laugh you out of court. If it was a drunken one night stand then probably blame would be debatable but if someone maliciously infected you then probably, but surely in these days of escalating STD's it would be advisable to wear protection if you are not being monogamous

Do you mean a sexually transmitted disease, I think sleeping with someone and not using protection is a passport to catching things you don't want, I think anyone who takes someone to court for been infected with an STD has no shame and is silly for not using protection.
