Give them a photo frame with all your kids dressed in shirts that say I'm going to be a big brother/sister.

I take it that the news might not be taken good??

Just you and your husband and your parents go to a nice resturant and eat out. (Without the other kids) Talk about everything that you want to talk about during the meal. Have the dessert come and when it comes have a cup cake for your mom and on it have a baby item. shoe...pacifier...whatever just a baby item. Be very excited and tell them that you wanted them to celebrate with you tonight and that you are very excited that they are going to be grandparents all over again and you are going to be parents all over again.

I have heard many grandparents say that they love being grandparents. This is an exciting phase in their lives.

Overall this is your life honey and you want to have a good relationship with your parents so tell them. If they get upset they will get over it. Hopefully the first time that they hold the new baby. You are an adult and it is hard to make your parents upset. I really do understand that. Good luck. I hope that everything goes good for you.

Well.... it is your 4th child, so I say just tell them. There is nothing they can do about it. I was the same way with this pregnancy (#6, but I only have 1 child due to miscarriages) wondering how I was going to tell my grandmother (she has pretty much raised me). I just took the ultrasound pic to her and showed it to her. She isn't happy about it, but she will be once it or they (possible twins) gets here. Good luck!

I gave both sets of parents a picture frame with a sheet of paper in it that said "Under Construction. ETA: March 11th, 2007". My parents figured it out right away while my hubby's parents looked at it with a "does this mean what I think it means" look on their faces. As soon as they saw me smile, they figured it out. Not only was this creative, but they have a frame to put a picture of the baby in when she's born.

Have a family dinner with all of the folks. Be sure to serve drinks, and tell plenty of jokes. Give the date of birth determined by the doctor. Ask them can they quess the significance of the date? I think they'll get the point.

Well....is this something they are going to be excited about or not? If they are going to be excited then do something cute and sweet. To tell my parents about our first I got them a card congratulating them on becoming grandparents. It was really cute and my parent's were so surprised. You could do something like that. For my husband's parents we gave them a baby pumpkin (it was fall) with two names written on it : Maddie and Eli...one would be the name of our future child depending on if it were a boy or girl. They really liked that to.

Anyway....good luck and God Bless

Just use words. I can't stand when people are afraid to tell each other the truth.
