Ok there is a school dance tmro and i want to look cute, but not to over the top and want to be cute enough to impress a boy i like. Got any ideas on what i should wear?

What you wear isn't nearly as important as how you wear it. Confidence is key, so be sure you feel comfortable in what you're wearing. If possible, grab a couple of friends, head to the mall, and treat yourself to a new outfit. Experiment with some makeup and hairstyles that will work with what you're wearing. As for the guy, engage him in an intelligent conversation, but don't make it too obvious that you like him. Give him 10% and let him come to you. Guys like a challenge.

Without over-doing it, I think you should wear some jeans, make sure they fit but not too tight where you couldnt dance if someone asked you to, and a polo top if you have one. and put on matching shoes with your top. Make sure you have jewelry on because it makes an outfit stand out even the more. OR....put on some boot cute jeans with a cute low cut top and some heels... its really what you feel comfortable in and what you think looks best on your body.

follow a little of what they all here have told you, but do not put on way to much make up..I know some girls do this, a little less is actually better looking than way to much, way to much make up makes a girl look cheap and foolish looking.
also make sure you have some nice perfume on, again not way to much, maybe something that does not last to long so you can re-apply it a few times, so he gets the new smell every once in a while.
and just be yourself, if your trying to act like someone else everyone will know this,

I think you should wear a dark washed out pair of jeans. You know, like the type of hollister pants everyone wears? A light colored shirt. If you have blonde hair, a light pink shirt or medium pink. If you have brown or black hair, a white shirt with some writing on it, but not too much, and a brown belt. Wear a silver necklace, and a pair of flip flops or shoes to match. Straighten your hair. :)

what kind of dance is it...i mean if its casual wear the best jeans your have light the light denim kind and a polo then if you have long hair lightly curl it...like just the bottoms and it you have short pull part of it back w. a cute matching clip...then cute shoes that are comfortable so you can dance and cute make up..

We tell our daughter to be herself. Don't try to impress anyone. If it is to happen then it will. It shouldn't matter what you wear or how you look. You should be liked for who you are on the inside, not the outside.
By the way, my daughter is not ugly. We want her to be proud of who she is, to have confidence.
