I'm not sure, but it happened to me too. It is actually illegal for them to do this, believe it or not. You can report them, I did. It's been a few years, so I don't remember who to report them to. La Leche League may have more info on this. Good luck, and big ups for breastfeeding.

If you filled out any paper work at the hospital or your doctors office thats where it came from.. Almost every formula company has a program that give free offers and coupons. Don't cancel them, sell them on EBay the coupon checks will go for almost face value and the samples probably sell pretty well too. You can make a buck without spending anything and with little effort. Or you can of course donate them, maybe to the local health department or clinic.

You getting signed up formula samples and coupons could have come from a lot of different places. Did you register for your baby shower at any places like Babies R Us or Target? Also, maybe your insurance company gave out your information when you added your baby to your insurance? Lastly, have you taken your child to the doctor's office for the new born or 3 month checkups?
My bet is on the doctor's office giving out your information. I would find someone in your church or a neighbor that can use it. We were fortunate to get free samples of formula from a friend's mother at church. Really saved us some money!

The hospital where your child was born may have sold your address to a mailing list company. Some marketers also comb the official birth records to get names of new parents. These records are recorded at your county office. No privacy there. Sorry.
You are a MARKET that thousands of hucksters want to tap. Get an unlisted phone number with caller ID and call block.
Get a shredder for all the junk mail you are receiving.
Donate the samples to a family shelter.

It is probably from the hospital papers you filled out. I didn't receive any formula samples for a couple months after giving birth too.
If you don't want the formula might I suggest donating it to your local food bank for those who could use it?

Did you subscribe to a parenting magazine? Anything child-related that you filled out a form for or subscribed to? Hopefully your doctor did not sell your info!
Please donate the formula samples to a local food pantry. Thtat's what I did with mine.

Maybe you could mail them to the guy asking for formula coupons for his family because they don't have much money. P.S. The companies get your name and address from birth certs. Public records can be annoying...wait till your in a car accident!! You'll find all the winning lawyers!!

Have you signed up at any baby internet websites, such as babyzone.com? Also they may have gotten your address from your midwife/ob-gyn office.... or maybe did you sign up at pampers.com or at any coupon sites.... thats wonderful that you are breastfeeding though.... and I would def call the companys to get you off the list.... good luck! And enjoy that wonderful new baby!
