I'm wearing a red simple short dress for my christmas party this weekend. i bought a matt gold high heel pumps to go with it but now i'm debating if i should go with a strapy higheel sandal instead? If i go for the gold shoes..what type of accessories should i wear?

Gold bangles and chandelier (or hoop or dangly) earrings. If your jewelry is ALL gold (don't have any colorful gems or any other colorful attachements), then the outfit will look great. I think a pair of Lepord print heels or wedges would look really cute with this color dress. If it is a short dress I don't think black would look to well. I just recently got married and this was the color of my bridesmaids dresses and all of my girls said that black shoes did not go well with this color. If you can't get lepord print, try to find a pair of red shoes that match as closely has possible and then play around with some funky accessories (necklace, headband, purse, etc.). Maybe some yellow earrings and bracelet. Go to a Claires near you, you should be able to find some great accessories to try there.

If you go for the gold shoes, I would suggest wearing gold accessories to tie the outfit together. You could wear dangling gold earrings or have a gold purse. Don't wear too much. It is a rule of thumb that if you feel like you wear too amny accessories that you should take off one before leaving the house.

Gold shoes for sure. Can you get some sort of Christmas necklace and/or earrings. There are some very tasteful ones around. Perhaps a fresh flower in your hair would be nice if you don't want the jewelry.
Maybe pin some Mistletoe in your hair and be the Belle of the Ball.

I'm picturing a SILVER strappy high heel sandal - not too high but enough to accentuate your legs. I see a bracelet of silver and red, crystally, thick, maybe a ribbon entwined and tied in it. Earrings depend on your hairstyle for the evening.

dont use a chunky heeled shoe with a short dress unless its a sandle type shoe. and if u go with gold than wear eithor gold dangly earings or large hoops, and a long necklace that goes with ur dress.

i think you should wear gold accessories too..and there's a rule in wearing accessories its called the "rule of 8" meaning all accessories from earings to shoes should sum up 8.. i hope this helps.. good luck..

wear the strap sandals because if it is a knee-length dress then it's rocking to wear strap sandals. wear long gold daggling earrings. a bracelet or necklace do NOT overy do the jewelery because then it will not look so nice.. have fun!!
