No it wont work this past summer i bought a us psp before i went to europe, when i was there i bought a movie and a game for psp neither worked bc it said it was region coded or something like that... i wasnt happy

Absolutely. PSP is region coded, but the games aren't, so you can play games from any territory. I have a Japanese co-worker, and he borrowed my US PSP games to try it out on his PSP, and it worked fine.

No the version of the PSP in the U.K. is PAL
The one in the U.S. is NTSC
