Since geckos don't carry eggs in their TAILS, I doubt that last answer was accurate.

If his tail is thicker than his stomach, he could stand less food. An adult leo only needs to eat 2-3 times per week, 6 crickets or superworms at a time, max. My adult male only eats about 2x per week, no matter how much food I offer, but my female will eat all day long, and her tail is HUGE. If your gecko can still move okay, I don't think he's unhealthy, but you might want to cut back the food a bit.

Um, maybe he is pregnant?

Put him on the scale and measure his length and height. Consult the American Pediatrics Chart for normal gecko growth for geckos of his stature.

Be careful how you talk about his girth in front of him. Geckos can be very sensitive about their weight.
