um wow ok.

Offense is the set of 11 players that come onto the field (30 total players on the team). Offense is when you try to score. Defense is when you try to prevent the other team from scoring (the OTHER team is now on offense). When an offense scores a touchdown they can do one of two things; they can either go for a 2 point conversion which they have to get 2 yards or they kick a PAT fieldgoal for one extra point. So a touchdown is 6 points and the additional point (PAT fieldgoal is 1, 6+1=7). If a team is to far away from the end zone (end zone is the area they have to get to get the TOUCHDOWN) and are done their 3 trys they kick a fieldgoal for 3 points.

Offensive side each ten yards from where the ball is first spotted is a first down. First down allows the offense to continue to move down the field inorder to get points ,mainly the TD. So you have four downs or attempts to make a first down. Most teams though will use three downs and on the fourth down either kick a field goal if your kicker can kick it or punt (give it back to the other team) if they are unable to get a TD. I hope i explain well enough.
