I'm assuming that you are running Windows XP here...

Go to Start->Settings->Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Services

In the list of services, there will be one called "Messenger" - double click to open it's properties - click on the button labelled "Stop" to stop the service, then select "Disabled" for the Startup Type.

That should stop those pesky messages from popping up all the time.

Next - you should download and run Ad-Aware and/or Spybot S&D (I'm sure you can Google for those on your own... lol!)

Sounds to me like you are clicking on advertisements. I don't advise that, as it tends to lead to more adware and spyware problems in the long run. If you really want to click, then I suggest getting a few spyware programs, and running them every couple of days. Adaware, by LavasoftUSA is one of my favorites.
